Description

The aim of doctoral training is to educate professionals in research, and competent and versatile experts in various fields for the needs of society. The professional expertise of a graduate develops during doctoral training as a result of conducting research, attending training events and acting as a member of the university and scientific community.


Doctoral degree in the Faculty of Information Technology includes doctoral dissertation and 40 credits (ECTS) of coursework. If a doctoral student has two previous master's degrees or a previous doctoral degree, the requirement may be decreased to 30 credits. Structure for the coursework is quite flexible. The studies are individually planned with supervisor, taking into account the coursework requirements of the specialisation option.
