Do you want to understand the secrets of quantum computers? This course will introduce you to quantum entanglement.

Description

Part C of the ABCs of Quantum Computing continues from parts A and B in the introduction to quantum information and quantum computing. The course deepens the content of earlier sections, focusing on simple applications. The course is the last part of the three-part whole.

Information technology, the ABCs of quantum computing, quantum information, quantum computer

Learning outcomes

After completing the course, the student
1) can use matrix algebra to calculate the result of quantum gate computing
2) understands the effect of noise on the quantum state and can describe noise mathematically
3) is familiar with simple quantum algorithms
4) is familiar with the basics of quantum entanglement
5) understands the concepts and mathematical formulations of a composite system, subsystem and ancillary system.

Description of prerequisites

The fundamentals of linear algebra are recommended.

Compulsory prerequisites

Study materials

All the course materials are available on the TIM-page of the course.

Completion methods

Method 1

Description:
The course is independently completed in the TIM learning environment by completing interactive tasks. If necessary, help for the tasks can be obtained through the course discussion forum. A passing grade requires the completion of all tasks.
