The future lies behind quantum gates! Join us for Part B of the Quantum ABCs and learn the mathematical foundations of quantum computers.

Description

Part B of the ABCs of Quantum Computing continues the introduction to quantum computing from Part A. The course focuses on the fundamental mathematical formulation of quantum information, especially focusing on the mathematics of quantum states and quantum gates. The course is the second part of the three-part whole.

Information technology, ABCs of quantum computing, quantum computing, quantum information,
quantum gate

Learning outcomes

After completing the course, the student
1) understands the mathematical formulation of quantum gate computing
2) is familiar with the spacetime structure of a qubit
3) understands the definitions and mathematical descriptions of superposition and entanglement
4) understands the role of matrix algebra in combining quantum gates into circuits
5) can calculate basic quantum circuit calculations using matrices

Compulsory prerequisites
