Description

The course is an introduction to quantum computing. The course focuses on the fundamental concepts necessary for understanding quantum information and quantum computing. The five subject areas of the course are quantum physics, randomness and probability, information, gate computing and quantum gate computing.

The course is the first part of a three-part whole.
Information technology, the ABCs of quantum computing, quantum computing, quantum information, quantum physics.

Learning outcomes

After completing the course, the student
1) understands the physics concepts state and measurement
2) understands the connection of physics to information processing
3) can interpret probability distribution as the result of a quantum measurement
4) knows the principles of gate computing and quantum gate computing,
and understands the differences between them
5) knows common quantum gates and can use them to form circuits.
