Description

Course contents in most accurately: Container materials, decomposition reagents and techniques, types of errors, detection and quantification limits, fundamentals of spectroscopy, AAS and ICP spectroscopy, chromatography, electrophoresis.

The student prepare a scientific referate/synopsis from scientific research article and present it also orally. The student also give feedback to other student´s referate/synopsis.

Learning outcomes

After the course the student know the typical decomposition reagents and techniques. The student also know well the theoretical basics of modern analytical techniques and understand and also are able to correct the possible measurements errors and interferences included to the techniques.

Working life skills:

The student can evaluate the suitability of analytical techniques for the sample type and can select the right one. Also the student can evaluate the performance of different analytical techniques and is able to produce methods for analyzing difficult sample types. The student can prepare scientific referate/synopsis from scientific research article and present it also orally. The student can give feedback to other student´s referate/synopsis.
