- Molecular structure: bond lengths and angles
- Molecular energy states: rotational, vibrational, and elelctronic states
- Optical spectroscopy
- Molecular modelling
Learning outcomes
After completing the course the student:
- can outline the relationships between the measurements and the theoretical models.
- understands the principles of spectrometers.
- knows how to perform spectroscopic measurements.
- knows basics of computational chemistry.
Working life skills:
- Data processing and reporting.
- Knowledge on device operations.
- Ability to evaluate sources of errors and the reliability of results.

KEMA200 Introduction to Laboratory Work or equivalent knowledge
