Additional information
This course is ideal for participants that aim to work in professions and industries that require continuous innovation, renewal and adaptations. It will be delivered in an inspiring, self-developing and enriching format and if the weather is nice, we go outdoors to allow the fresh air of Finland to inspire your creativity.
Creativity is not one thing or idea but it does have a foundation of beng unique, innovative, passionate and daring in order to build a better world for yourself and those around you, to create opportunity and to solve problems. When you become creative, you take risks and yes, risks can have known and unknown consequences. A well design creative process can make most risks positive and even in the case of a risk having a negative consequence, creative people accept that as a neccessary part of the game of business. Second, information is more readily available and every business student and educator is challenged to utilize this information more effectively by doing the right things and more efficiently by doing things right. Unfortunately, we have become more concerned with time management and efficiency than effectiveness. Even when possessing this new information and even knowledge, many business organizations continue implementing predictable and easily neutralized products, experiences and decisions. With all of this information, more than ever before, we can minimize risk taking because we have the science of data and information at our fingertips. And yet, we don't take the time to think, listen, talk, watch, feel, smell and act because of fear of failure. By combining the "art" of turning information into ideas with the "science" of logic and data, students in this course will work at developing their creative talents towards the creation of a new service or product concept.
