Course description
In this course the students will be working in small groups writing an academic text and developing their communication competence through different tasks. The course consists of independent and group work.

- Synthesizing information for different audiences/target groups
- Communication in virtual teams
Learning outcomes
On completion of the course, the student is expected to
- recognise the conventions and registers of language and communication needed in order to transition between academic and professional life.
- be able to analyse and evaluate communication in virtual teams.
- be able to assess and edit their own writing, and use feedback as a part of their writing process.
- be able to synthesise and evaluate sources relevant to their field.
- display the ability to form and effectively communicate research-based arguments in interdisciplinary contexts.

Evaluation criteria:
Active participation in individual and group learning assignments to be completed according to the given instructions. Students are expected to demonstrate achievement of the set learning goals. More detailed assessment criteria will be discussed at the beginning of the course.
