Description

Sustainability transitions and transformations are processes that involve changes in technologies, societal structures, cultures, and behaviors. Efforts to guide and promote sustainability transitions require interdisciplinary understanding and cooperation among actors at all societal levels. Conceptual frameworks like ‘leverage points’ provide useful tools for understanding the opportunities (and challenges) for promoting change. The future can be envisaged as alternative trajectories, shaped by current actions and policies.
