Description

In colloquia organized by JYU.Wisdom and in the Jyväskylä Summer Speaker Program, experts and researchers address current sustainability topics in an interdisciplinary way.  

Learning outcomes

After completing the course, the student:

  • Has some familiarity with interdisciplinary research and societal debate on current sustainability issues.

  • Has an understanding of the multidimensionality of sustainability research and action.

  • Can describe his/her own approach to the issues addressed and reflect on the role of his/her discipline in relation to the issues addressed.

Sustainability colloquia organised by JYU.Wisdom, the Jyväskylä Summer Speaker Program and any other events announced on the course website.

Completion methods

Method 1

Description:
Participation in the discussion events announced on the course website and writing a short synopsis and reflection on each event and returning it to the course platform (JYU Moodle) by the deadline. Six (6) events equals 1 credit.
