The course focuses on key aspects related to childhood studies and children’s agency

Description

diverse perspectives, concepts and methods in childhood studies, children’s structural positions in society, agency and participation in institutions, childhood as relationally constructed within its’ cultural and historical context

Learning outcomes

Upon completion of the course, students will have knowledge of
  • the theoretical concepts related to children’s social worlds and childhood in society
  • the variety of features related to childhood and the connections between them
  • the relevance of children’s action and agency in the forming childhood
  • the current research in the field of childhood studies and be able to apply it as part of his/her expertise in education
