TIEA3041 Practical Training Abroad (5–12 cr)
Description
Content
Practical training is completed by working (TIEA3041: abroad) in IT related tasks and then writing a report. During the training, the student becomes familiar with the organisation’s operations and culture, division of work, and social relationships in the workplace, and develops the ability to work as a member of an expert organisation by applying the knowledge and skills acquired during their studies.
The internship must always be agreed in advance with the teacher responsible for the course, and a contract is made through the university’s Into internship service. A suitable time for the internship is when most of the compulsory IT courses in the bachelor’s degree have been completed.
The course is intended only for students in Bachelor's Degree Programme in Computer Science and Information and Software Engineering. A maximum of 12 ECTS credits can be included in the bachelor’s degree from the courses TIEA304, TIEA3041 and TIEA3045.
