Contents
The doctoral dissertation is a scientific presentation forming a coherent whole based on independent research within the doctoral candidate's field of study. The dissertation follows the dissertation requirements of the University of Jyväskylä and the Faculty of Sport and Health Sciences.
Assessment criteria
A prerequisite for an approved completion is a doctoral dissertation approved by the Faculty Council. Evaluation criteria are described in the dissertation assessment criteria of the Faculty of Sport and Health Sciences.Learning outcomes
After completing the dissertation, the doctoral student
· understands the different stages of the research process and is able to act appropriately within them;
· can plan and conduct research on a chosen topic consistently, responsibly, and ethically;
· masters relevant theories and methods concerning the topic;
