Description

Probability and conditional probability, generating functions, Poisson, exponential and normal distribution, Markov chains, Chapman-Kolmogorov equations, stationary distributions and ergodic theorems, Poisson process, applications to queueing systems. Course develops critical and analytical thinking, IT skills (Octave/Matlab), problem-solving and decision-making skills and oral skills (presentations in exercise sessions).
