Description
Concept of esports; history, present and future of esports; esports leadership, organisation, and teams; economic and business perspective to esports; competition, career, well-being, and responsibility in esports.
This course supports the UN Sustainable Development Goal 8 Decent work and economic growth. Also, issues related to SDG 5 Gender Equality and SDG 12 Responsible Consumption and Production are discussed.Learning outcomes
On successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
- recognize esports as a field of management and leadership
- understand the economic and business significance of esports
- understand management, leadership and organisations in the context of esports
- identify career, well-being, and responsibility perspectives in esports
