Description

Current issues, challenges and contemporary management practices in sport and leisure, across a broad range of providers, particularly in private sector.

Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this course, student is able to:

  • identify current issues and contemporary management practices in sport and leisure
  • understand the differing frameworks and approaches to the sport and leisure management by applying management and leadership concepts, together with theories and evidence, the relationship between sport, leisure and professional market
  • understand the objectives, values, styles and outcomes in management contexts in different international contexts
  • apply knowledge, concepts and methodological skills to a variety of sport management issues, problems and interactions
