Description
An internship refers to a short working period included in the programme during which the student gets acquainted with procedures and tasks in their own field, applies that knowledge and skills acquired to practical tasks, and develops networks with employers. The internship must be related to the student's field of study. An agreement about the internship should be made with the institution and the employer before the internship begins.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student is able to
describe their work tasks and the activities of the work community
evaluate their own working life skills and their development in work tasks
assess the ethical aspects and sustainable practices of their own working
identify the key parts of their current expertise
identify the areas of their knowledge and skills that require development
apply the knowledge and skills acquired in studies in practical work tasks as far as possible.
Additional information
One month of on-the-job learning is equivalent to 5 credits. NOTE! Internships can replace the compulsory Work Life Project (MUSS1048) in musicology.

Evaluation is based on how student achieves the Learning Objectives of the study course according to the respective performance method. Active participation in teaching and completion of assigned tasks with approval.
