Description
We will choose a theme for each edition of the course, in the form of a machine learning project. Each student (or student team) will define their own specification of the project: what is the relevant data, what question to study, what model to build, how to train it. The students will document every step of the process and will eventually produce a fully trained machine learning model answering to the question they study.
Learning outcomes
After passing this course, the students will have hands-on experience with a larger machine learning project, going from the problem definition, to data collection, to data curation, to model formulation, to model training and evaluation.
Additional information
Course will be given every other autumn (in even years).
