Vektori- ja matriislaskentaa tietokoneella (apuna Pythonin Numpy/Matlab-ohjelmisto tai muu vastaava). Peruslaskutoimitukset; ominaisarvot ja-vektorit; pienimmän neliösumman menetelmä; singulaariarvohajotelma; interpolaatio; yhtälöiden numeerinen ratkaiseminen; lineaarialgebran sovelluksia differentiaaliyhtälöiden numeeriseen ratkaisemiseen. Tulosten graafinen esittäminen.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course the student is able to explain the basic concepts related to numerical computation and to use Matlab to solve a numerical problem (eigenvalue problem, least squares fit, systems of linear equations, intepolation, applications to differential equations).
