LTKY5010 Optional Internship in the Field of Sport and Health Sciences (2–10 cr)

Opintojakso mahdollistaa tutkintoon sisältyvän pakollisen harjoittelun laajentamisen.

On successful completion of this course, student is able to:

• have broadened their understanding of jobs, tasks and environments in the field
• have gained experience of the interface between academic education and professional work
• have practised their ability to solve problems and innovation tasks arising in professional work from a knowledge-based perspective
• deepened their understanding of the importance of scientific thinking, self-direction and continuous learning in carrying out tasks requiring academic expertise.

Please agree in advance how the internship is carried out with the teacher, group leader or education coordinator responsible for the subject.

Conditions for the internship:

•  An internship agreement is made between the workplace, the student and the faculty.
• The student has an assigned supervisor at the workplace

The credits for the internship are calculated as follows:

2 credits = 27 hours of work (1 credit) + writing of the report (1 credit). Excess credits are calculated on an hourly basis (27 hours of work = 1 credit). 10 credits therefore correspond to approximately 240 hours of work. The internship can be carried out in a full-time or part-time job.
