Description
The purpose of the course is to deepen and broaden academic expertise in the field of sport or health sciences. Tasks acceptable for the course include organizing conferences and seminars, organizing events, volunteer work, serving on the board or committee of a sports club, working as a research assistant, creating learning materials, or similar tasks.
Learning outcomes
On successful completion of the course, student has
- deepened their understanding of the intersections between academic education and expert work
- developed their ability to solve problems and tasks in a knowledge-based manner
- deepened their understanding of the importance of scientific thinking, self-direction, and continuous learning in tasks that require academic expertise.
Additional information
The method of completion is agreed in advance with the teacher responsible for the subject, the group instructor, or the education coordinator.
Students must write a report on their agreed experience.
Credits are defined as follows:- 2 credits per year for one year board work (credits are only awarded once for each position)
- other tasks according to the time log (27 hours/1 credit)
