Description
Course Content
The course features three different sports categories (Nature, Games & Skills and Body & Movement), which include five-week theme packages. Each theme package is a 5-week (one period) practical unit consisting of five sports trials (one per week). The themes of the packages can include, for example, Dancing, Nature connection, and Ball games. Throughout a theme package, the student exercises in the same small group and under the guidance of the same instructor.
During the course, students get to try a versatile range of indoor and outdoor sports. Students become familiar with local sports and nature environments and the opportunities they offer, while also enhancing their own well-being and daily activity.
The course includes tasks completed independently in the Moodle learning environment, such as an introductory webinar as well as initial and final self-reflections that support personal physical activity and well-being. The course also incorporates content related to well-being, recovery, and nature-based physical activity.
Additionally, the course includes getting to know student community activities, for example through a student organization event.
Completion Methods
The course is carried out between January 11, 2027, and May 30, 2027. The course consists of completing three different theme packages and finishing the assignments in the Moodle workspace.
Three theme packages: The student selects and completes three 5-week (1 period) theme packages. To guarantee versatility, the theme packages are chosen from three different sports categories. In each 5-week theme package, the small group and instructor remain the same throughout the period. The student is required to participate in the guided sports sessions of the theme package.
Moodle: The student participates in the introductory webinar organized in the Moodle workspace or watches its recording, and completes the Moodle tasks and reflections included in the course.
Registration: The student registers for the course by choosing the most suitable theme packages from those offered. One theme package is chosen from each sports category.
