KYBS3070 Information Security Management (3–5 cr)
Description
The “Information Security Management” course aims to introduce key themes and basic concepts from the information security discipline. It will also provide knowledge of methods and techniques used in managing information security within an organization. The course literature will give a basic understanding of the concepts related to Information Security Management. The lectures and study material will further extend on these topics and introduce related research. The practical exercise (for the 5cr course) will give an opportunity to apply the course themes in a real case.
Learning outcomes
The student will have a good knowledge of the main topics, basic concepts and principles in information security management; The student will have a good knowledge of the techniques and methods used in information security management, and the ability to consider them in terms of applying them within an organization; The student will gain knowledge and understanding of key contemporary research issues within the field of information security.
