Learning outcomes
After completing the study unit, the student will
- understand methodological perspectives relevant to the field of research and master research methods that are relevant to their own research topic
- understand the nature of scientific knowledge and the general principles of scientific theory building
- be able to evaluate ethical aspects at all stages of research and act in accordance with the principles of responsible research conduct
- understand the principles of open science

Assessment criteria: Assignments are assessed on the basis of how the doctoral student masters the contents of the study unit and achieves the learning outcomes of the study unit. A pass requires that the assignments are completed successfully. If there is contact teaching included, active participation in the class and successful completion of any other assignments indicated in the teaching is also required.Completion methods
