Description

During the course a PhD student give a scientific oral presentation from her/his own research and participates in seminars in which PhD students and postdoctoral fellows working in the department of chemistry present their own research talks.

Learning outcomes

After taking the course the student is familiarized oneself with scientific conferences or similar events. The student knows how to prepare a conference presentation, adopt new information from conference presentations and ask constructive questions in conferences.

Working life skills:

Increase the communication skills of the student. After taking the course, the student is more comfortable to give a presentation in a conference or similar event. 

Additional information

You can have 1 ETCS per academic year and you can complete the course three different times. So you can have at most 3 ECTS.

Passing the course requires that the student has to participate in seminars (75 % compulsory presence) as well as give one presentation during the academic year
