JSBY6000 Responsible expert I (1 cr)
Description
The course introduces students to a wide range of orientations in business and economics, emphasising the importance of responsibility at the core of expertise. The course introduces the main contents of the study program and the nature of university studies, and lays the foundations for building an academic and professional identity as an expert. The focus is on planning one's own learning and study, and during the course students will draw up their personal study plans and internationalisation plans.
Learning outcomes
On completion of the course, student
- understands the nature of university studies, the main contents of the study program and the the overall structure of degree itself
- understands the importance of their own role and study planning in the development of their expertise
- can plan and assess their own learning and study, and can draw up a personal study plan
- is familiar with the areas of expertise of a business/economist
- identifies areas of responsibility and understand responsibility as an integral part of expertise
- identifies the competence requirements for working in an expert capacity in a global, multicultural environment
- is aware of the various opportunities for internationalisation, including student exchanges and international work placements
