Description

In this course, you become familiar with the basic concepts, instruments and mechanisms of investment activities and financial markets. You study shares, bonds, debentures, options and other investment instruments, and learn to analyse their risk and return characteristics. You practise methods for evaluating investment decisions and market developments, and gain insights into investor psychology, sustainable investing and corporate financing and investment strategies. The course gives you tools to understand the role of investment activities in a broader economic and financial context. The course is suitable as part of studies in the field of finance.

After completing this course, you have key knowledge of the core concepts and theories related to investment activities. You understand the basic mechanisms of financial markets and are able to apply this knowledge when evaluating different investment alternatives.
