Description
ROOT data-analysis packet
PYTHIA event generator
FastJet library
basic data-analysis methods in high-energy physics
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the students:
can use ROOT data-analysis object in their own analysis and utilize documentation on services that objects provide
can make simple Monte Carlo simulations
create proton-proton collisions with PYTHIA event generator
familiarized with FastJet library
understands meaning of various triggers in large particle experiments
used invariant mass method, build two-particle correlation functions and reconstructed jets
understands in qualitative level single particle corrections arising from imperfections of the real measurement devises
