Description

An in-depths study of German-speaking business communication. The focus of the written exercises is on business texts, e.g. in the fields of commerce, administration, and other business-relevant areas. Additionally, German vocabulary and German-speaking business texts are introduced and supported by their English equivalents, as the course will be conducted in English.

Learning outcomes

Upon completion of the course, the student will - identify the genre conventions and syntactic structures of German business-related texts - has gained an extensive vocabulary concerning German-speaking business communication - is able to write about topical issues in German-speaking countries on the basis of authentic business texts - apply relevant skills in professional business communications Generic competences: digitalization, leadership and development, internationality, sustainability and responsibility, identification and development of expertise, interaction and communication, critical thinking
