This course is available only for those PhD students, who have been accepted for the clinical cell biology training

Description

The studen should use a histology handbook and clinical tissue samples to prepare to this exam.

Learning outcomes

The aim of this exam is that the student who has been accepted in clinical cell biology training refresher her/his knowledge in general histology. After completing this course student is able to identify from the histological samples the most common tissues studies in the clinical pathology laborarory. She/he can name the functional structures and the most important cell types in the tissues. This exam can be done either in Finnish or in English.

The practical arrangements of the exam is agreed in advance with the responsible teacher.

Completion methods

Method 1

Description:
The exam is based on histological images. Depending on the availability of the material the exam is either a traditionan paper exam or done using virtual microscopy software. The exam can be done either in the training place or at the university.
