Description

This class relies on lectures, literature, and real-world data to explore the relationship between marine biodiversity and ecosystem functioning.

Learning outcomes

After completing the course, the student is expected to: a) be able to account for the relationship between structure and function in marine ecosystems b) be able to account for the biggest threats to marine biodiversity and the changes in ecosystem processes associated with these threats c) be able to critically evaluate studies published in international scientific journals d) be familiar with methods and approaches in biodiversity-ecosystem functioning research e) be familiar with current scientific questions and actors within structure-function research (nationally and internationally)
