Description

The aim of doctoral education in chemistry is to train high-level experts with in-depth scientific skills in one of the department's research focus areas.

The education develops students' ability to seek, produce, and apply new knowledge and prepares them to work both independently and as part of multidisciplinary research groups.

The education also provides experience in teaching and communication in the student's own field of research, which strengthens their readiness for expert roles in academic and broader societal contexts.

Graduates can work in leading research, expert, and development positions at universities, research institutes, and in the corporate and public sectors.

In addition to the dissertation, doctoral education includes studies that support research work and provide various working life skills.
