Course description
The aim is to practice everyday situations and skills and get to know affordances offered by the Finnish environment in language learning.
Main contents of the course
- self-introduction
- recurring routine everyday situations
- affordances provided by the environment for language learning
Learning outcomes
On completion of the course, the student is expected to
- pick out keywords and respond in routine and recurring everyday service and daily life situations
- be able to introduce themselves and, with support, briefly discuss their own interests
- be able to recognize information that is relevant to them in everyday and familiar written texts
- be aware of language learning affordances offered by the environment
- have become familiar with some language learning strategies and to know their importance in the learning process.
