Description

During the internship, the student becomes familiar with the application of statistics and data science in a company. However, the company cannot be the same as in the course TILS6920 Practical training.


The internship must be agreed upon in advance with the responsible teacher. A written report of 2–3 pages describing the tasks performed during the internship period must be prepared.

One month of work in field-related tasks corresponds to five ECTS credits. A maximum of 5 ECTS credits from the internship can be included in advanced studies; any credits exceeding this amount will count as other studies.

Learning outcomes

A student who has completed the company internship:

  • can apply knowledge and skills in statistics to solve practical and/or scientific problems

    • is familiar with company operations and  workplace practices

  • can work as a member of a team

  • can operate in a new computational environment

Harjoittelusta sovitaan etukäteen ja harjoitteluajan tehtävistä laaditaan 2-3 sivun kirjallinen selvitys.

Aktiivisuus harjoittelussa ja hyväksytyn raportin kirjoittaminen.
