More about the network

Description

We study the theory of combinatorial designs, e.g., symmetric designs, finite projective planes, Latin squares and Steiner systems, and connections between designs and error-correcting codes.

Learning outcomes

Learn the basic concepts of design theory, i.e., the theory of combinatorial designs, and study basic constructions of designs as well as proving the non-existence of designs with certain parameters.

Additional information

Not available every year. The course will be available in autumn 2024 and 2026.
