A final project for the first year of studies.
Description
A project to apply skills learned throughout the academic year and to pick up new practical skills in a team-based project. The course is an intensive project where students design, develop and present an IT solution in collaboration with a client, working with technologies and requirements of the client. Working in teams, students must analyze the external requirements to design, code, and integrate necessary components.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student is able to
- analyze and interpret client-defined requirements and translate them into clear functional and technical specifications
- design and implement a small-scale IT solution using prescribed technologies and development tools
- apply basic software development methodologies, including version control, testing, and documentation practices learned throughout the year
- collaborate effectively in a team environment, demonstrating planning, task distribution, and time management skills while respecting others’ perspectives, values and professional identities.
- develop the ability to employ AI responsibly and critically by evaluating the reliability, provenance, and limitations of AI‑generated information.
Description of prerequisites
Ability to read documentation and manuals, and ability to adopt new technologies and programming languages.
