Description

Student gets familiar about the possibilities of education and identify our own strengths and skills in both studies and sports. Student gets familiar the career stories of other athletes and the transition between sports and working careers. A personal job search plan is developed.

Learning outcomes

The object of the course The object of this course is to prepare a financially profitable and possible career plan for the student athlete, which also sets realistic goals for a university career. The student recognizes the skills learned in a sports career and knows how to utilize them in the future. After completing the course of study, the student athlete has a career plan created that takes into account the knowledge gained from studies and sports. Course competences Learning to learn: Assesses and develops their competence and learning methods in different learning environments. Operating in a workplace: Is able to work constructively in a work community and promotes their own and their work community's wellbeing. Learning objectives of the course You recognize and evaluate your own skills both as an athlete and as a student. You get to know the job opportunities of your own education, as well as the career stories of graduates and athletes. You develop your own career plan based on your interests and skills. You know how to act constructively in the work community and promote your own and the work community's well-being.
