Description

The aim of this course is to deepen the understanding of specific research methods, to which kind of research problems and materials they are suitable for, and how to apply them with concrete research data. Also, the student learns to evaluate research findings received through specific research methods. The emphasis is on latest digital humanities research infrastructure and related methods and analysis tools.

Learning outcomes

After completing the course the student

● knows one or two specific research methods and their related data gathering processes in detail

● is able to apply one or two specific research methods to a suitable research problem and materials

● can identify reliability and validity issues related to her chosen research methods
