Description
The course materials provide photographic examples and written information about diagnostic characteristics of the most important tropical plant families. The course covers about 130 plant families.
Learning outcomes
After the course, the student will be able to identify typical representatives of the most important tropical plant families to the family level.
Description of prerequisites
It is assumed that students are familiar with the basic terminology used to describe plant structures (especially the different parts of flowers and leaves) and have some experience in identifying plants. Any prior plant identification course will be helpful.
