JSBY1230 Mathematics for Business and Economics 2 (4 cr)
Description
Differential and integral calculus with applications for functions of
one variable (basic differentiation, implicit differentiation, extreme
value calculus, basic integration, partial integration, placement
method, accumulation function). Differential calculus of functions of
several variables with applications (partial differentiation, extreme
values, Lagrange's method). Elementary differential equations (separable
differential equations, continuous interest calculus).
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will:
- master the ordinary and implicit differentiation of functions of one
variable with their applications
- master the basic integration, partial integration and the change of
variable method with their applications
- master the partial differentiation of functions of several variables
- be able to apply differentiation to solve various extreme value problems
- be able to solve simple differential equations
Development of meta-skills:
- critical thinking;
- data analysis and analytical reasoning;
- problem solving;
- the ability to interpret mathematical material.
