Description

Study of the intellectual history from different perspectives. The focus of the course is particularly on deepening the knowledge of history of economic and political thought in a long-term perspective. 

Learning outcomes

After completing the course, the student

  • can identify the different approaches, theories, methods and source choices in the intellectual history behind the research results
  • is well versed in the history of different ideologies, such as republicanism, nationalism, liberalism, conservatism, socialism and feminism, as well as alternative ideologies
  • is familiar with the interaction between economic, political and scientific thinking in the long term.
