Description

The course is a survey of the morphology of Russian. Parts of speech system in Russian is discussed from different perspectives. The grammatical categories of nouns (gender, number, case), adjectives and verbs (tense, voice, mode, aspect, gerund and participle forms) are observed, as well as necessary grammatical terminology both in Russian and in Finnish.

Learning outcomes

After completing the course the student - knows basics of Russian grammar rules and grammar irregularities both in theory and in practice - is well aware in the importance of knowledge of grammar for language use - is able to apply the rules of grammar in his / her own language production - is able to use grammar terms correctly to describe grammatical phenomena - is ready to improve his / her knowledge in grammar
