BISA1930 Bachelor's Thesis Seminar (3 cr)

Bachelor thesis seminar discussions cover the preparation of a scientific text, critical evaluation and argumentation styles. The student prepares and presents an idea paper, a research plan, an interim report and a bachelor's thesis. Other students' manuscripts are opposed and acting as an opponent is part of the seminar work. The students gets to know field of research by familiarizing themselves with research related to research interest.

Learning outcomes include creating a research problem with a focus, research reporting, and critical evaluation of research, as well as
searching, adapting, and adjusting high-quality academic literature related to the research topic. Argumentation of research interest and acting as opponents in the seminars train students in academic and critical thinking.
