Description

During their intermediate studies, KUMU students focus on methodological and theoretical approaches and different areas of research in ethnology, anthropology and cultural policy. During their intermediate studies, students learn to write a thesis independently.

Learning outcomes

After completing their intermediate studies, the student will:

  • develop in reflecting on and identifying their own competence
  • make contact with workplaces in their own field
  • be familiar with methodological and theoretical approaches to ethnology, anthropology and cultural policy and be able to evaluate their importance in research and choose a suitable research topic and approach and
  • be able to assess, analyse and produce academic knowledge, to identify their own academic strengths and interests and know how to describe them.
