Description
This course introduces the role and tasks of corporate communication professional and explores current themes influencing it. The course provides practical and research-based knowledge on the challenges of communication management in a dynamic and diverse operational environment.
During the course, corporate communication is reflected against challenges organizations face in their operational environments. Consequently, the course addresses how communication can support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Communication is aimed, for instance, at building a corporate culture that promotes innovation (SDG 9), reducing inequality (SDG 10), and creating sustainable, safe, flexible, and inclusive communities (SDG 11).
The course hones analytical skills.
Learning outcomes
After completing this study module, the student:
- is familiar with corporate communication expert's tasks and competence needs
- is able to recognize and analyze trends in corporate communication field and in organization's operational environment
- can seek and utilize up-to-date information on trending topics around corporate communication
- is able to reflect and consider various aspects critically
