Description

The course introduces the student to the problems related to the use of virgin raw materials and the basic principles of the circular economy. The course also includes information on the preconditions of the circular economy in society and the related business opportunities. The main contents are: risks of raw materials, from linear to circular economy, risks and regulation related to the circular economy, and business models for the circular economy.  

Learning outcomes

After completing the course, the student:

  • Knows the main risks related to use of raw materials,

  • Understands the difference between recycling and circular economy.

  • Can use common terms related to the circular economy.

  • Is familiar with circular economy business models and their challenges.
