The course introduces the different aspects of coaching by participating in expert lectures.

Description

  • Endurance training and competing in specific conditions

  • Nutrition and athlete performance

  • Sport psychology and mental coaching

  • Specificities of team sport in coaching and game analysis

  • Sports coaching, elite sports, and ethical issues

  • Clinical testing and exercise programming for different patient groups

  • Coaching and testing of Paralympic athletes  

Learning outcomes

After completing the course, the student will be able to:

  • apply theoretical knowledge in practice about training and competing in specific conditions

  • assess the role of nutrition in sports

  • apply the principles of sports psychology and mental coaching in sports coaching

  • analyse the specific characteristics of the team and individual coaching

  • apply the methods and applications of game analysis in coaching

  • assess the ethics of coaching

  • understand the principles of clinical testing

  • assess equality in coaching and understand the specificities of Paralympic sport
