Description

Aims and methods of visual arts education, early years' visual expression, pivotal techniques and materials of visual arts, multiliteracy/visual literacy and early childhood educator as an art educator

Learning outcomes

After the course the student 

· can interpret and assess visual culture from ECEC's point of view

· understands visual art's significance to children's holistic growth, development and wellbeing

· can identify special features of children's visual expression and visual literacy and can support them timely

· knows aims, contents and methods of visual arts education

·  is familiar with pivotal working methods, techniques and materials of visual arts education and knows how to apply them in a premeditated manner with different aged children
