Description

The course offers 3-credit modules covering qualitative, quantitative, design science, and literature review methods. Students select the module(s) they wish to pursue. The qualitative module delves into practices such as interviewing and thematic analysis. The quantitative module focuses on the analysis of numerical data and statistics. The design science module is dedicated to developing IT artifacts or practices. The literature review module explores theoretical and conceptual dimensions. This course provides a practical perspective on applying research analysis methods to empirical data or practical research. Delivered online, it includes lectures and other learning materials that focus on these different approaches.

The analysis assignment will be evaluated based on the depth of analysis, its effectiveness in enhancing understanding of the data, and the integration of theoretical elements. This module is graded on a scale of 1-5.

Learning outcomes

After completing the course, students will understand the methods of the selected module(s), be able to assess them critically, and apply them in practice. They will acquire sufficient skills and knowledge to conduct analyses for their Master's thesis effectively.
