The course focuses on the methodological dimensions of research, especially research planning.

Description

This course focuses on research frameworks and how to plan research. It analyzes the foundations of research methodology by exploring different research approaches and examining the relationships between research question, theory, data, and analysis methods. The course is delivered on an online platform, consisting of lectures and other learning materials, and does not require physical attendance.

Online course with assignments.

The research plan assignment is assessed based on its feasibility, graded as fail/pass.

Learning outcomes

After completing the course, students can write a feasible research plan for their Master's thesis. They will understand and be able to critically assess different methodological choices and their impacts on the research as a whole. Furthermore, students will be equipped to critically evaluate their own methodological decisions regarding their Master's thesis.

Students should be planning their master’s thesis during the course.
